Social Security Number (SSN) is another name of citizens, permanent residents, and temporary workers in USA. The major purpose is to track income and taxation. It can also be used for social security benefits from govenment.
I have submitted my Social Security Number/Card application today and expect to get the card in four weeks. But Mr. Ross Selden, HR manager of Starkey Lab, told me normally it takes only 2 weeks. I hope everything goes smoothly.
Once approved, the SSN/card will be post to Starkey Lab.
I'm glad to get the card on Oct 06, 2010.
